I just came in from my morning walk.
My devotions led me to this.
I wore my orange “Just Be Kind” shirt to an appointment yesterday.
The receptionist told me she liked it and wished everyone would take the hint.
The nurse that put me on the scales and took my blood pressure told me she liked it and wished everyone would take the hint.
The doctor told me she liked it and wished everyone would take the hint. She also wanted input about my outrageously good health. I told her I take morning walks. 😉
The tech who drew the blood told me she liked it and wished everyone would take the hint. (She also asked me to bring her one. She takes a large.)
The Cutie’s maid of honor sent us a link to the work of a couple of young sisters who are peddling “Just Be Kind” shirts to raise money for their school system.
The maid of honor lives in Washington, D.C. and the two young sisters are in south Florida.
Then my sister Dawn sent a photo of her husband Dwayne’s new vanity plate for his truck. If Tumblr will allow there is a photo in this blog.
In the midst of a lot of rhetoric, and sometimes actions, that are less than kind I needed a day like yesterday.
I thought you might need a reminder that folks notice when you advocate for the gentle ways we follow.
I also thought you might want to break out your orange shirt.
As our Friend and I were walking along we got to chatting about how a little thing can make a lot of difference. He smiled at me and sang me a line from an Eagles’ tune…
🎶I’ve got a peaceful, easy feeling…and I know you won’t let me down…🎶
